Amal Clooney Looks Incredible in a Gown Covered in Sequins
Amal Clooney brought her glamorous style to the red carpet for a solo appearance at the 2023 Fashion Awards on Monday night in London.
The barrister and human-rights advocate made an entrance at the Royal Albert Hall in a stunning golden Atelier Versace gown completely covered in metallic gold and bronze sequins. The sequins, which started small at the top and got bigger toward the skirt, created a shimmery, ombré effect on the dress as Clooney walked. They were held together by a net of crystal-embellished string, which also shone in the light.

Clooney let the gown take the spotlight, styling it only with golden pointed-toe pumps, an oval golden clutch, and dangly diamond earrings by Cartier. She wore bronzy, glittery makeup to match the dress, and had her hair down in silky waves.
While husband George Clooney didn’t join her on the red carpet this time, she was accompanied by her mother, Baria Alamuddin, and longtime makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury.
The Fashion Awards celebrated the best in the industry, and honored designers Valentino Garavani, Jonathan Anderson, Sarah Burton, and Martine Rose, among others.

Clooney’s outing came one day after she and George turned heads in coordinating all-black looks at the London premiere of his movie The Boys in the Boat. Then, she was striking in a strapless velvet cropped top with raised sides and a matching long velvet pencil skirt. She paired the sleek set with silky pointed-toe pumps, a black croc-embossed oval clutch bag, and gold chain-link earrings. George, meanwhile, was dapper in a classic black suit, crisp white dress shirt—which he left unbuttoned at the top—and shiny black dress shoes.
